Location

Cub River Lodging & RV Park is located next to the beautiful Cache National Forest, just 8.4 miles up Cub River Canyon, near the town of Preston, Idaho in the Southeastern corner of Idaho.   We are located only 10 minutes from the Utah border, only 2 hours north of Salt Lake City, Utah and 1 hour south of Pocatello, Idaho, on Hwy 91, makes it easy year-round access.  Shuttle service can be arranged.

Traveling from the South or East

  1. Follow Interstate 15 north to Brigham City, Utah, taking the Logan, Utah exit.
  2. After arriving in Logan, continue traveling north, following Highway 91.
  3. Approximately 3 miles after you enter Idaho, you will see a brown Forest/Recreational sign on your right hand side which reads: “Cub River/Deer Cliff Recreation Area”.
  4. Turn right onto Cub River Road (2800 South).  Cub River Lodging & RV Park is only 8.4 miles up the canyon.
  5. Watch for the green signs in the middle of the fork at “Deer Cliff” Road.
  6. Take the right fork onto gravel road.  The first building on your right is the Guest House, stop by the “office” door on the north side to register.

Traveling from the North or West

  1. Follow Interstate 15, south from Pocatello, Idaho, approximately 27 miles .
  2. Take the Downey/Logan Exit onto Highway 91
  3. Continue traveling on through Downey and Preston, Idaho (watch the signs directing you towards Logan, Utah on Hwy 91).
  4. Approximately 3 miles after leaving Preston, you will see a brown Forest/Recreational sign on your right hand side, which reads: “Cub River/Deer Cliff Recreation Area”
  5. Turn left onto Cub River Road (2800 South).  Cub River Lodging & RV Park is only 8.4 miles up the canyon.
